FYR

FYR makes it easier to find residential and commercial properties across Senegal by bringing together verified listings for rentals, sales, land, studios, hotels and more into a single, searchable app. FYR aggregates photos, pricing, neighborhood maps and contact information from agents and private sellers so you can compare options without jumping between sites or agencies. The app is built for people relocating, investing or hunting for a new home and emphasizes clarity, quick comparisons and local context to help you move from search to contact with confidence.

Key features and listing details

The app displays comprehensive listing pages that combine high-resolution photos, clear price information, location maps, approximate distance to landmarks, and verified contact details. Each listing shows practical details such as property type, available rooms, plot size or hotel class where applicable, and recent activity so users can see when a listing was last updated. FYR supports secure in-app messaging to start conversations with agents or private sellers and includes favorites and alert tools so you can save promising properties and receive notifications when similar listings are posted. Search results can be viewed as a list or on a map to make spatial comparisons simple, and verification badges identify listings that have been checked or confirmed by contributors to reduce time spent on unreliable posts.

Controls and navigation

Search and filtering controls are designed for fast, precise results: use sliders for price ranges, toggles for property types, and checkboxes for amenities like proximity to schools or hospitals. The interface includes sorting options such as newest, closest or most relevant, and gesture-friendly interactions for swiping through photos and pinching to zoom on maps. Map controls allow you to draw or adjust a search area to focus your results on a specific neighborhood, while a compact card view keeps key details visible as you pan. All controls aim to reduce friction so you can refine searches quickly on both phones and tablets.

Progression, personalization and saved searches

FYR supports a clear progression for users building a search profile: you can save favorites, maintain a history of viewed properties, and create multiple saved searches that reflect different priorities like budget, neighborhood or property type. Alerts notify you when new listings match a saved search, helping active seekers and investors stay on top of the market. Over time the app surfaces recently viewed and similar listings to help you track decisions, compare options side-by-side, and follow up with contacts—all without introducing complex tiers or social features that would distract from the property hunt.

Visual style, performance and accessibility

The visual design emphasizes legibility and efficient scanning: clean typography, clear photo galleries and consistent iconography guide users to important details quickly. Images and map tiles are optimized for performance so pages load reliably on mobile networks, and the app can cache recent searches and saved favorites for offline review when a connection is limited. Accessibility considerations include scalable text for readability and straightforward label language to help a broad audience navigate listings; these design choices prioritize practical access over decorative complexity.

Local focus, data sources and limitations

FYR is tuned to Senegalese neighborhoods, price ranges and local market patterns, collecting listings from professional agents and private sellers that operate in the country. The local focus delivers contextual details such as neighborhood character and proximity to regional amenities, but it also means the app is not suitable for searches outside Senegal. Listing coverage varies by region depending on contributor activity; final inspections, negotiations and legal steps should always be completed offline with appropriate verification, and the app is intended to speed research and connections rather than replace in-person due diligence.

Typical workflows and user experience

A typical workflow begins with a quick search for your target neighborhood and budget, refining results with filters for bedrooms, land area or amenities, then switching to map view to assess location. Save favorites to a list, enable alerts for new matches, and use secure messaging to request more photos or arrange viewings. Investors can scan recent sales activity and price trends in a neighborhood while renters can shortlist studio and apartment listings and contact landlords directly. The straightforward flow helps newcomers and experienced users alike move from discovery to contact with minimal friction, and FYR’s aggregated, locally-focused catalog keeps essential information organized for repeat use.
