Brawl Stars October 2024 Update: Trophy Season Reset Revamp, New Reward Tiers, and More
In the October 2024 update, Brawl Stars is overhauling the Trophy Season Reset with a fresh system aimed at enhancing player satisfaction. The new approach is more accessible for casual players while offering greater rewards, all with the goal of making the gameplay experience more engaging and enjoyable for everyone.
Each Brawl Stars season lasts for four weeks, during which your top 10 Brawlers with over 500 Trophies will experience a trophy reduction. In return, you’ll earn Bling, which can be used to buy Brawler skins and other shop cosmetics.
Brawl Stars October 2024 Update: Trophy Season Reset Overhaul The upcoming Trophy Season Reset will introduce the following key changes:
The game will now include 50 tiers, offering a more streamlined system.
Instead of only earning Bling, players will receive a new Trophy Box at the end of each season.
Matchmaking adjustments will become more noticeable once a Brawler reaches 1,000 Trophies.
Two new leaderboards are being added: a Seasonal Leaderboard and an All-Time Leaderboard.
Your past accomplishments will still be retained under the new system.
Trophy Season Reset Overhaul
Brawl Stars is redesigning the Trophy Season Reset to address several key issues that have negatively impacted the gameplay experience. Here's what's wrong with the current system:
It’s too complex and not rewarding enough to make the grind worthwhile.
The rewards don’t match the effort required to climb the trophy ranks.
Players feel discouraged from using their favorite Brawlers because pushing them becomes too difficult.
High-level Trophy Matches also suffer from long matchmaking times, further frustrating players.
Developer Vision for the Trophy Season Revamp
The goal of this overhaul is to enhance clarity without overly simplifying the system, making it more enjoyable for all players. The update aims to create a more accessible experience for casual players while offering greater rewards for those who invest time in grinding trophies. Additionally, the revamp will make high-trophy Brawlers easier to play, increasing overall engagement.
New Tiers and Improved Rewards
With this rework, Brawl Stars is introducing a more intuitive Trophy system that rewards effort without increasing the grind. The game will now feature 50 tiers, with the highest level labeled as "Max," requiring 1,000 trophies to reach.
The updated Trophy system will sync with the Brawl Season Pass, allowing players to advance to the next tier with every 20 trophies earned. The season reset will now cap Brawlers at 1,000 trophies, which is a welcome change. The adjustments to Trophy gain and loss will also be more forgiving for players under the 1,000-trophy mark, making progression smoother.
Trophy Resets and Progression Beyond 1,000 Trophies
An exciting update is that Brawlers below 1,000 trophies will no longer face resets, offering a smoother progression path. Only once you hit 1,100 trophies will you start losing more than you gain, making it easier to maintain higher trophy counts.
Advantages of Reaching 1,000 Trophies and Above
Personally, I’m ready to grind hard when this update drops. Hitting 1,000 trophies comes with some awesome perks:
Achieving 1,000 trophies with a Brawler unlocks the top tier, Max.
Any trophies you earn past 1,000 will be tracked as "Season Trophies," which unlock a new reward—the Trophy Box.
Even if you don’t reach 1,000 with a Brawler, you can still unlock a base-level Trophy Box once your total trophies hit 1,500. However, to climb higher, grinding to 1,000 trophies is key.
The Trophy Box: Replacing Bling
With this update, the Trophy Box replaces Bling as the primary reward at the end of each season. I think this change will push players to stay more active in the game. You’ll unlock a Trophy Box after hitting 1,000 trophies with any Brawler, or by accumulating 1,500 total trophies. The Trophy Box primarily offers cosmetics, including a guaranteed skin, and at higher levels, you might unlock rare items like Mythic, Legendary, or Hypercharge skins, along with gems.
The Trophy Box system includes five levels: Small, Big, Mega, Omega, and Ultra. I’m aiming for Ultra because of its superior rewards. The existing Tier upgrade rewards will be removed in this system, but you’ll get more Bling in exchange.
Matchmaking Overhaul
Big changes are also coming to matchmaking, particularly for players with over 1,000 Brawler trophies. The new system will match players with similar trophy counts, making the experience fairer and reducing the long matchmaking times that used to occur in high-tier matches.
Additionally, win streaks will now be tied to individual Brawlers, and your best streak will still be displayed in your profile. I’m excited to keep showcasing my best streaks!
New Leaderboards
The update introduces two leaderboards for each Brawler: a Seasonal Leaderboard, resetting every season, and an All-Time Leaderboard that tracks the highest trophy count you’ve ever reached with each Brawler.
Players who rank in the Seasonal Leaderboard will also earn a Prestige Icon, which displays in their profile and levels up with each top placement. All previous trophy records will remain intact on the All-Time Leaderboard until someone surpasses them—so make sure no one beats your best!
Recognition for Past Achievements
The new system will also reward past efforts. For example, players who have at least one Brawler at Tier 35 will receive a unique Pin. If you’ve managed to push 10 Brawlers to Tier 35 before the update, you’ll get an exclusive title. Even if your Brawlers aren’t at Tier 35 in the current season, but were in previous ones, you’ll still earn the title.
These changes are set to go live with the October update, but some smaller details may change before it officially launches at the end of the month.
