Genshin Impact's Version 5.1 will introduce several significant quality-of-life improvements, including a streamlined method for crafting character materials, a custom Artifact filter, and the ability to skip the first two Floors of the Spiral Abyss. In Version 5.0, players gained the ability to craft their own Artifacts, significantly reducing one of the game's most notorious grinds. However, optimizing a character involves more than just obtaining the right Artifact Set; players must also upgrade talents, ascend ranks, and equip appropriate weapons. While weapon development remains a separate aspect of the game, Version 5.1 will specifically enhance the character development process.

According to HoYoverse's official blog post, players will now be able to use an alchemy table to select any character they own as a filter, which will display only the materials needed for that specific character's development. This filter also applies to the currently equipped weapon and includes a built-in calculator that shows both the required materials and the quantities players currently possess. Additionally, the system can automatically craft the necessary materials, further streamlining the character-building experience in Genshin Impact.

Key Quality-of-Life Changes in Genshin Impact Version 5.1

Skip Spiral Abyss Floors:

Players can now skip the first two Floors of the Spiral Abyss.

Those who achieved all nine Stars on Floor 12 in the previous cycle can begin at Floor 11, while players with all nine Stars on Floor 11 can start at Floor 10.

This skip still allows players to receive the intended rewards from the Spiral Abyss.

Bespoke Artifact Filters:

Version 5.1 will introduce custom Artifact filters for each character, making it easier for players to identify the most suitable Artifacts for their builds.

These filters can be manually set and reset, sorting inventory based on desired attributes like Crit Rate or Elemental Mastery.
