New Ascendance Forms for Shamans in World of Warcraft
World of Warcraft will introduce a second set of Ascendance forms for Shamans in Patch 11.0.5, along with new glyphs that allow players to choose between the original models and the latest designs when using their abilities. These updates are expected to be implemented in late October, providing players with more customization options for their Shaman characters.
During the announcement for Patch 11.0.5, the new Elemental Ascendant forms were revealed as replacements for the 12-year-old Ascendance transformations used by all three Shaman specializations. While the initial models offered improved graphics, many players expressed disappointment with the new art direction, particularly criticizing the wild hairstyles. In response to this feedback, Blizzard has created a second batch of updated Ascendance models.
The revised models maintain similarities to the first set but feature several key changes. The wild hair has been trimmed and styled for a more contained look, the skeletal faces have been redesigned to embody a more elemental theme, and the armor now includes a helm and pauldrons reminiscent of the Shaman's Ten Storms Tier 2 set, which players can obtain during WoW’s 20th anniversary event. Wowhead has shared these new models ahead of their arrival in the upcoming Patch 11.0.5 Public Test Realm.
